Price should stabalise to what it is now for Home Server so approximately £75 which isn't bad money. I would have waited and got vail but the lack of DE makes it pointless as far as I'm concerned.
Someone mentioned Amahi earlier in the thread. It is an application on top of Fedora which appears to have the functionality of Home server but with disk pooling (DE by another name I think.) I am downloading Fedora to try it out as the WHS RC can't be used for anything much as it will run out soon. I'll report back later. (I have tried Linux in the past and getting SMB networking has usually been beyond me!)
If it works, Amahi an edge on WHS as it has a DE equivalent as well has not requiring payment. #
I looked at UNRaid but decided I like the idea of a server rather than NAS as it makes administering the various machines simpler - all on one screen.
