I quite fancy a "hot hatch" for my next car, but unsure what to look for... No criteria though, just something that is reliable , and *hopefully* wont cost too much extra on insurance
He put "Hot Hatch" in inverted commas. Did he mention the nneed for 4 seats. Pull your head from up your arse. Maybe the OP doesn't need 4 seats but didn't think of that. People like you make this forum difficult, let the OP decide if it was a good idea and while you're at it, come up with suggestions instead of having the whole "LOLZ - j00 SUCKZ 4 SUGGESTIN TAHT!!!!"

Grow up son.

/edit: Biohazard - got your period? You seem on a bit of a troll today looking around the forums???

my mate is selling a clio 1.8 16v for £450 with 10months MOT which I thought was pretty good. Bodywork wise not the best but it's pretty fast :D

how about an AX GT? Pretty rare and only £500 for a decent one so you could get one and have enough to fix it up/keep it going

I was thinking the same, are you turning 17 and wanting to impress the lads and ladies at the local McDonalds meets?

If not, i do apologise

Just, 4 months - and you want a hot hatch?

Give me a break, it's hardly uncommon for a young man to want a hot hatch ffs. At that age you want something quick and cool, whether it's the sensible option or not.

A. you can get a good hot hatch for that money (as you even stated.

B. He wont be able to insure something quick

C. Even if he could surely it would be better to spend more money on a car rather than spunking loads on insurance so you can have a "slightly" quicker car than some people

Yes that's all common knowledge, I think you got the wrong end of the stick... I was referring to the poster above me who was making out as though anyone young lad wanting a hot hatch was some sort of chavvy scrote that wanted to cruise McDonalds and streetrace. :p

Yet another vote for the clio 16v, however my personal choice would be a 19 16v over a clio. Same engine, power output etc but slightly rearer and in the interests of a fight the better car. They weigh next to nothing and another bonus over the clio is that they are cheaper to purchase and easier to work on with more space in the engine bay. Would have to be a Phase 1 and preferably a hatch as they dont corrode as badly as the ph2 and the hatch is a handles well. The only down side is as already mentioned going to be insurance, the 19 is group 15 and clio 11/12? As with every car its essential that its been looked after well (not just because its french and old), Phase ones were produced upto end of 1991 so are getting on but there are still some gems around. Trip computer, leccy windows, leccy sunroof, central locking are standard and most also seem to have leather seats which is a bonus.

Completely off topic, i used to have a mate who worked in a Toyota garage and one day an old biddy came in and said that she wanted to buy a mister2.

Bless eh?

Hi,

I am not 17, I am older than that, but have only just got round to taking my test etc etc. I do not need rear seats as I only have 1 other person in the car usually.

I am not a chav nor do I want to impress anyone, just looking for ideas for the next car :)
