Todays top temperature was at Edenfel, County Tyrone in Northern Ireland at 29.9C, so so close to topping 30C but just missing out by a whisker. This is the highest temperature recorded this year in the UK.
There are times I'm glad this flat faces north and gets no sun and this is one of those times. Its noticeably cool in here. Leaving the windows closed in teh daytime and open in the cool of the evening/night helps too. Its actually quite chllly in here at the mo.
Eventually though the heat will reach into here too, then its a bugger trying to sleep.
It's boiling in the house tonight, sleeping under a sheet I think. Had a lovely day sat in the sun watching the cricket though, so can't complain too much
