And? As far as I understand .com isn't country specific (although a lot of people seen to think it is.) which is one reason people would prefer it over .co.uk.
How is that a reason to make all this effort not to have .co.uk at least with .co.uk people know you're from england. And tbh, it's just a domain.
I don't like the idea of a .com, it seems so american.
I like .com because it's short and everyone knows it. There are shorter like .be but they aren't as well known.
I ditched my ancient hotmail one for a live.com when that hack was circulating just before it went live so to speak. I got a nice short name and the online interface works in harmony with the view I get in outlook at home.
I just use the Hotmail account as a decent backup to my main domain email, as I don't want to use that for everything. Besides, the web interface isn't too bad in classic mode and it works great in Outlook as well.
