Makes for very sad reading.

Local people are being forced to move away, and indeed of my own circle of friends/acquaintances, a lot are questioning if they should even remain in the UK. Some have already left, and those that have are much happier.

The UK is not all it's cracked up to be.

A lot of people in Cornwall are pretty much living a life of economic slavery. Before anyone screams "hyperbole", realise that Cornwall is one of the most deprived areas in the whole of Europe, including former Soviet bloc countries :p (The Tories don't care - Cornwall is just a big beach, right?)

The UK is a dump especially England. The further north you go the better it gets.

I'd move if I was young and single and go to Canada personally. That way I can explore that side of the world. I've already done Europe to death, Asia and Africa several times.

I liked Germany. Too many homeless in italy. Spain is just a dump with good weather. All the usual holiday Islands. Asia I'd probably like to see Singapore, South Korea, Hong Kong and Japan but I don't think I could live there. I've done Thailand, all over india, Dubai, UAE, etc. They are easier to get to from Canada.

I don't like America either but I'd like to see more as the places I've been LA, Vegas, etc are probably nothing like real America but they didn't impress me at all. Vegas is mental but it just felt so fake. Manufactured atmosphere.

I've been saying it for years London is literally hell. I only go there now for weddings. I refuse to visit any family outwith that and say it's best they just come to Scotland. The idea of queueing for 3 hours to get into a car park and being stuck in traffic for 3 days to travel 5 miles just isn't appealing to me.

I can literally drive to any friends or family inside 20 minutes including ones that stay 15 miles away. The same journey in London is 4 hours if you go at rush hour as some idiot will have crashed doing some crazy manoeuvre on the M25 causing a pile up.

If I don't end up escaping the UK I'll only ever live in the west now. Wales, Cornwall, possibly Scotland.

But I wouldn't want to live in South East or East again. It's too bland. The countryside is too flat and it's too built up. I mean it's built up around Cardiff sure. But you don't have to go far for civilization to drop away
