how are your pets responding to the weather?

The first time my dog saw snow falling, he didn't want to go outside because he was scared. Then when we let him outside after it had stopped snowing he went round the garden barking at all the bushes/shrubs because he didn't recognise them :p

He's fine with it now though. I threw his ball for him the other day in the garden and he full on jumped through a bush to get it and ended up being covered in snow. I don't like keeping him out too long though as i get concerned about how cold his paws must be. He'd play with his ball all day if he could, even if his feet were falling off from the cold.

Theo loves the snow. He always comes in covered in it, especially his nose.

Amelie (the cat) has got super cuddly and at night sleeps snuggled in between us - she's a house cat, so she hasn't got to play out in the snow! She's also fluffed out to about twice her usual size.
Sudo (the dog) is only 13weeks old, so walking is difficult for him, he's sliding all over the place on the ice - but loves playing in the snow, and keep biting up mouthfuls and then spitting them out!

I bought a king charles cavalier today, £600 later i find that, it is housetrained at 9 weeks old to go outside on its own and ****, yet we have no fencing on our front garden. So we take it out on the lead which it doesnt like, and so far its only ****ed on the carpet in the house :( The main problem is the grass is just snow and ice, so it doesnt understand. Poor thing :(

Great thing about the snow is that I can see where the cats have been, now I know exactly where the ******* things come in... and exactly where to aim my frozen tomatoes.

I dont generally hit the cats (my aim isnt that good) but if im quiet enough they dont hear me coming and BAM tomato explodes on the fence right by the cat... hilarious cat freak out follows.

We have 6 cats and some hate the snow and the cold and pretty much refuse to go out unless they have too. Others venture out for a small time and they sit someone and suddenly stare across the garden and pounce in a hiigh jump at the snow. It's hilarious to watch.

Other cat news: One of our cats has currently lost his voice. It's pretty funny, He opens his mouth to meow and you can see he is trying to meow but no noise comes out. It'll come back soon. I'll see how he is a bit later when I go and see where he is sleeping!

ohh i love throwing snowballs at cats, also building a igloo and placing the cat inside then building up the doorway so it stays in there..

kills to stones for the price of one if you know what i mean, as they are always spraying and pooping on our lawns
