I would say that it is impossible to know that you will never need to use your overdraft.

I dont understand why some of you people have so little willpower and so little financial nous that you have to ask for an overdraft to be taken away from you becuase you cant trust yourself. What are you, 15?

Why should I have an overdraft? If I dont want one why should I have it? To prove to you I can resist it I suppose.

I don't understand why people describe their financial information with complete strangers on an internet forum.

£1500 on personal account
£500 on personal "spending" account
£10000 on business account
£0 on savings account

Dont have any, but my parents ones are:

Fortis 1: 500€
Fortis 2: 500€
Fortis 3: 500€
Fortis 4: 1000€
Visa: 2000€
Interbank: 3000€

Until October last year mine was £3500 and I was up to the limit every month. Nerf divorces costs and London living TBH ;)

My GF gave me a boot up the arse though and I did a load of overtime and repaid it in 6 months.

It is now £0 and I never intend to have an OD again. I keep a £300 buffer in my account at all times now just in case of unforeseen costs.

£0, the bank keep offering me £2500 but i dont feel a need for it so i havent taken it. If i ned it i know i can have it, but while ive got >£1k in the bank i wont consider an overdraft.

Mine is at 1500, planning on paying the bank back soon though, althought its an interest free overdraft :)
I only took it out because I needed a LOT of money in my first year of uni, couldn't get anything I owned on the plane from home so everything had to be bought over here, spent 1500 pounds in a week

I have a £1750 overdraft with HSBC but dont tend to use it - However if anything the bank are reducing it by £500 every year, not increasing it.
