i see "watched threads" at the top but when i click it nothing comes up but i've just made a few threads in the hardware section cos im building a new pc, would like to be able to see them all in one place!

sorry if im being silly or if this isnt the place to ask! thanks!

But also, if you click your name at the top right of a forum screen, then click you name again in the box that comes up, the resultant page has a "find all content by x" and "find all threads by x" on it. That will give you what you want without having to watch anything.

I've never had to click the watch button, every thread I post in or create seems to automatically become watched. Perhaps there is a setting you need to change somewhere? If you click your username then preferences? At the top right of the window.

Well yeh cos you don't want to watch every post you make. Could you imagine if I watched all my posts?

I have it set that way, my watched threads list is a list of any and all threads I post in. I prefer to manually un-watch rather than manually watch, and I rarely do that! :)

That's a nuts way to do it. Is your notification area like an unread Apple notification for emails area after a red circle with 84834783487349304839048 unread notifications?

It doesn't send you an alert doofus, it just pops the thread in the watched threads list! You only get an alert if you are quoted or mentioned. :)

e; Oh I don't have the indented checkbox ticked for receiving email notifications of replies, that would be horrendous.

OP you might want to not check that one. Unless you want loads of emails, up to you. :D

You can set an option in your profile to automatically watch threads in which you post. If you only want to see threads which you started, click in the search box then click on the black box to the right of the More button (mouse-over text is Useful searches) and select Your Threads.
