How did you pay your way through University?

Mum paid fees (~£1100 annually) and a monthly allowance of £100. I took a year out before uni to work and earn enough for accomodation and other living costs.

SAAS pay my fees and I get a bursary. My mum gives me a bit of money as I'm having trouble finding a job but she won't be when I get work.

the actual fees paid are in the region of 10k a year, and have been for ages, the LEA make up the difference, it was a comment on your lack of LEA support

What I meant, as I am sure you well know, is that the maximum fees charged were £1125 yet many people got LEA assistance to reduce this amount. Many of my friends paid nothing and got £1k a year more loan so were £2000 a year better off simply becuase of their parents circumstances.

Student loan & Working. My mum wasn't in any position to be helping pay for me, but at least I qualified for funding because of it.

Student loan covered accomodation, holiday job + a friday/saturday night job during term time gave me the rest I needed.
