Some of her cats are here today on approval - for trigonometry in maths

Daddy please not the cupboard again - for when he got home drunk and would thrash me with his belt buckle

My earliest memory is a still image from a pram looking up - it was a large hooded thing with blue and lace frills around it - Ive seen a picture of it and knew it was dark navy blue from the black and white photo -0 i cant heave been more than 1 or 2 years old ... also remember Queens silver Jubilee street party in 1977 - i would have been 1 lol - very sketchy - in fact quite possible that its lies and something ive fabricated at an older age

When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
The child is grown the dream is gone

I remember a time when all that mattered was riding my bike after school, playing crappy old games on my 386, going to the cinema oooh the novelty! I remember when GCSEs were the most important thing in the world, when I got a bucket stuck on my head aged 7, i remember at nursury school putting a snail on a girl's head and then been sat in the "naughty corner" as punishment for what seemed an eternity. lol. I remember getting stuck up a tree in my nan's garden aged 9 and screaming for help, and only her neighbour came to assist as she was too deaf to hear. I remember the "birds & bees" talk from my parents aged 11 and how i laughed.

But since growing up and starting drinking and paying bills I seem to remember a lot less of recent times. But thank jebus for digital cameras, the little chickorito sausages you microwave for 1 minute, praise be to facebook, youtube and iplayer. Honour to GTA4, Winamp MilkDrop visualisations and eBay. I love marmite, thank you and good nite.

Epic. If only James Cameron was here theres a movie to be made! I particularly like the idea of cats and trigonometry, lolzcat style.

i think some people don't understand the point of this thread; it's not about what do you remember from a kid, it's what do you remember from a kid that you used to use to help you remember something, e.g. how to remember how to spell 'because' people would say big elephants cause... etc, unless i'm mistaken.

I actually got in trouble in school for not remembering the rhyme to help remember the order of the planets in the solar system. Would have been ok if it wasn't for the fact I could actually remember the planets, just not the stupid song.

I got in trouble once for calling toilet roll/ loo roll 'bog roll' Was only about 6 or something. Head teacher totally tore me new one for that, lol. Somebody had soaked the bog roll and streamered it round the place. I was like 'I never touched the bog roll, Miss' Man that has to be one of the worst bollockings I've ever had.

i can remember being walked along some of the canals in Birmingham in my pram by my mum and dad as well as being taken to feed the horses that lived in a paddock 10 minutes from the flat. i can remember before my sister was born (so younger than 2 and a half), my mum pulling my pram backwards up the steps in the flat and counting them off to me.

i remember taking my grandma a gnome for her garden, i remember the pond with the frogs at the end of her garden, playing snail tennis with my grandparents next door neighbours hanna and sara (who turned out to be a stunner) and eating leaves from my grandparents trees. i remember falling off the foot of my sisters pram, while our dad walked us home, and knocking a tooth out and the subsequent flood of blood and trip to the hospital, i can even remember visiting the dentist on other occasions.

i remember my grandad giving my one of those little peddle cars which he found in a skip on the way home from work at longbridge, and i remember getting a ride-on thomas for my 4th birthday.

this is all before we moved down to brighton when i was 4 and a half and only a snapshot of my memories at that.

i remember coming to brighton (the car journey down) with our cockatiel and 2 cats in the car, i remember the scalextric set i got from my 'other' grandparents at 5 and spending every penny i got after that on C batteries so i could make it work . i remember being 6 when i got a BMX dad my dad spent the whole day trying to put together only to shout and scream when he messed it up (and my mum subsequently doing it in an hour or so), i remember gashing my knee (twice (still have both scars)) one from falling off said bike, the other from playing manhunt.

i could go on forever, i have such a good memory for when i was a kid but the last 6 or so years have just blended in to one, i miss the carefree days of being a child :(

in the context of the thread though?

billy eats cabbage and usually smells eggy is the only one i ever used.

Who loves orange soda?
Kel loves orange soda.
Is it true?
Mmmhmmm
I do i do i do i do-oo.

Kenan and kell was great we had one of those wood effect tellys and a little black cable box that changed from nickelodeon to comedy central at a certain time.

Also remember my parents car they ran until I was like 14, 80's style vauxhall cavalier. what a totally crap car, it was completely knackered, but what can you do, they worked 70 hour weeks to get by for years.

I barely remember anything from my childhood. The things I do remember, I'm unsure if they're real or scenes i've dramatised over the years.

I remembered the other day when i couldn't remember what i wanted to remember because i had a memory loss which made me forget what i wanted to remember!
