Do you want help or are you one of those posters who will keep a thread alive for a week asking for advice and then say "lol thanx 4 advice guyz but im goin with sumfing my dad picked 4 me!".
I'm not endorsing anyone, I'm just going by what I've heard. I'm with Be so don't have to deal with any of this, it's been a year since I was on a BTW-based ISP, but when I was, it was with Zen, who were very good.
You'll need replies from people who actually use them now to see what they're like now though.
I really dunno about these enta companies - I've had a look at about 5 of them (idnet, adsl24,vivaciti and 2 others) and they all have pretty expensive rates :S how so high when compared to llu providers?
Because they have to pay BT. And they don't oversell to the same levels other ISPs do.
It's your choice, but you get what you pay for. You have to decide whether you want a stable reliable connection or high caps. You can have both if you pay for it.
You get bumped up to the next package where you have to pay the difference and a £5 admin charge. Aquiss, who also resell Enta, have a £1 per GB and a £2.50 admin charge.
ok well my bt line activated today but as I was looking at another company to switch to (thats better) I noticed my home hub said Im connected at 7,616kbps and up speed of 448??
being really happy with this I go and check my speed at the bt speed check site which gives me an error :S phoned them up and they said give it until 9pm tonight as this is my activation day.
anyway they didnt tell me over the phone how fast my speed would be - although when signing up they said I would get 2mb's.....
so I just went to that speedcheck site and got this
so what is the deal? :S do I believe my home hub or is it lying to me? :S
