It says your IP profile is 2000kbps - that's the maximum download speed you'll get until it increases - and that your modem is connected at >7Mbps.

ok well today I have noticed a new speed for my broadband (yeeey!) and here are the results :S

ok a few questions

will this be my final speed even though my max speed etc says 7.616 but Im getting 2mb slower than that :S will the ip profile change again or should I contact bt?

The AAISP link has a list of BRAS profiles - the next step up is 7Mbps, which needs a minimum sync rate of 7968kbps.

Thats what I found from aaisp, Im not sure what these have to do with me... my dsl connection rate, is that my sync rate yes? so couldnt I get a 7392k sync rate? which would give me 61/2M

You're already connected >7392kbps, and are on the 6.5Mbps profile.

"ATM rate" == "DSL connection rate" == "sync rate".

is it right that I have 1 1/2mb less than the max speed? I thought the actual throughput would be a bit more than that? when I was on the 2mb profile I was getting 200kb less than the max speed :S

There could be more actual throughput closer to the IP profile, but that could be anything. It's not abnormal either - welcome to a contended service.

Id agree, im on UKFSN who are an Enta. reseller, their £30 MAX 60 package, gets 60gb peak, 330gb off peak, peak hrs are 8am till 10pm, off peak is 10pm till 8am and all weekends, and ive never got anywhere the 60gb peak yet (or in full total of peak/off peak), and i download nigh on all the time, the caps are very generous, and its a monthly contract to.

It looked pretty good that Star Wars Unleashed.
