How do I go about fattening up my new bird?

Should have gone to the vet, where it would have been assessed, if good to continue living (i.e. it's injuries weren't severe, or easily treatable) it would have gone to a qualified carer for rehab and release. Doing it yourself if you don't know what you're doing will mostly end badly and cause suffering for the bird..

You should shut the **** up, frankly. I tried contacting them in the afternoon; but the lines were closed. His welfare was my highest priority.

He's buried now. A little grave for a little soul. RIP

I remember seeing a pigeon fly into a window at work last year, could see it's wing was broken and it knew it was ****ed. Just waddled into a corner, sat down and waited to die. Came in the next morning and all that was left was a pair of wings, crows or something had seen it and polished it off.
