How do you approach a shop where you want to ask for work?

I sprint.. full pelt towards it.. without slowing I take a final stride and leap through the shop window, removing a perfect circle of glass by performing a mid air barrel role across the counter and landing on the customer side while my momentum thrusts me skywards over the boss where I complete a half twist back somersault simultaneously producing my CV and landing with it ready to be accepted.

More seriously, just go in there and say "Hi there, just wondering if you have any jobs available at the moment?", if they say yes, hand over a CV

1. Walk into the shop (don't walk in smiling, you will look like a knob).

2. Approach a shop assistant and say politely and confidently, "hello, do you have any vacancies at the moment?"

3. They will then most likely ask you for your CV, which you should hand over.

4. Thank them and walk out of the shop.
