How do you kill a fly ??

They're quick but - as you would expect - very stupid. If you move your hand towards them on one side they will always move in the opposite direction, allowing you to predict where they're going to be really easily.

Armed with this tactic you can now go out in to the world and pose like a ninja whenever you expertly dispatch flies with your new skills.

You'll thank me later.

Just wait until they land on a wall or other surface, then whack them with a rolled up paper. As long as you swing as hard as you can, you'll be surprised how easy it is to catch them before they fly off.

If you don't want to have to clean up a squishy mess, it's also surprisingly easy to shoo them out of an open door too - just keep swatting at them with a towel or something until they fly in the right direction. Doors are better than windows for this.

Just wave your hands at them repeatedly every time they come near, same applies to wasps.....you wont necessarily kill any but you will give people around you a good laugh.....yes we all do it, even me yesterday in a beer garden with those blooming wasps after my cider, or cyder as they called it :o

I train up hunter killer flies and let them loose

only problem is I then need to train some better flies to kill those

I switch on my fly radar system with nuclear tip match missiles ready for some action. The launch pod is multidirectional and can fire more than one at a time. One located on the kitchen window sill the other on top of the fridge. The last nuked fly landed in my soup.

A few weeks ago one of those hover flies that look like a bee or a wasp flew into my flat. Usually I would just open the windows and wait for it to leave, but this one was large and annoying, so I grabbed an empty tissue box and swatted the thing as hard as I could. When I went to find the thing to throw it away, I found I had obliterated its body, so only the head remained with legs attached to it - BUT IT WAS STILL ALIVE!. It was crawling around the carpet with no body like something out of Dead Space. It was so disturbing - it had absolutely no body, it was just a head on legs walking around.

These are best, a fly swatter needs those holes in otherwise the fly reacts to the air movement before the object makes contact with them. It also moves faster without much air resistance and I can take them out mid flight with these. Smaller flies you can just clap out the air though.
