How do you pronounce Linux?

I pronounce it line-ucks, mainly because I'm pronouncing it in English. If you listen to that video, Linus pronounces his name in English "line-us" and it is spelt Linus which is an almost identical word structure to Linux, hence when saying it in English I pronouncing it in the same manner.

Did you miss the bit at the end where Linus says "but Lin-ucks is always Lin-ucks"

No I didn't, this has become a weekly argument for me in the NOC.

For me the correct English pronunciation is line-ucks, if I was speaking in Swedish then I'd pronounce it lin-ucks. He said it may always be, but in everything there's locational differences, just the same as grass is graa-ss in the south west, but grae-ss further north. I simply use my native pronunciation of the word instead of a foreign pronunciation.

If I was to speak a third of a sentence in English, a third in Swedish and a third in French, would it not seem strange?
