How do you solve a paper jam if you cannot reach the paper from either end?

Seriously? What absolute idiots build a printer where a jam is resolved in this way.

Well if you can't reach it, and you can't feed paper through to push it out... wtf do you expect to be able to do?

I had a paper jam in a shredder this morning and was in a similar predicament. Cue me spilling shredded paper all over the floor, searching for the vacuum cleaner (which is crap) and spending the first 40 minutes of my day cleaning up/fixing the shredder. I didn't even NEED to shred the paper, I just felt like doing it to try the new shredder out!

Well, its only a single sheet - if it actually engaged its rollers it would be able to get it out.

As a real desparate solution you could try and get some soft card into the feed tray and try to push the paper up a bit. This however might just jam it more or tear the paper in there to shreds so you cant pull it out in one go.

pull the paper tray out and then pull the side off and you can usually manually turn the rollers so you can get the paper to somewhere you can reach it.
