How do you stop cats crapping in your garden?

I wake up to take my new puppy out to go toilet, and yep, the neighbours moggies have crapped in my garden again.

Bottles of water, lemon peel etc, not worked so far. Maybe one of those sonic devices might work.

Why can't cat owners train their cats to **** in their own back yard. No wonder you hear stories of cats being poisoned every now and again.

Few of these should do the trick:

When I asked this question a while back, the pro-cat brigade got very sniffy and defensive about their beloved feline companions. So be prepared for that, I guess. If I can find the thread I'll post it as there was some good advice in it.

Thanks, I quite like cats, but I don't own them, I just don't won't my puppy eating kittie ****.

I know cat owners can be quite defensive, but I'm not having a go at the cats or cat owners, I just won't to know the best way to keep the little felines out of my garden so my puppy can enjoy it.

I'm actually after a humane way of keeping cats out of my garden, was hoping a few cat owners would help out.

Cats do what cats want.....no amount of training, cajoling or shouting will change the nature of a cat....

The only thing you should do is bleach the areas they are using, as they have probably scent marked your garden.

Did you not read my topic starter brains of Britain, I take my puppy out to my back garden each morning so she can do her duty, and lo and behold I find the neighbour's cats been all over the garden during the night depositing.

No I read the thread title so no real need for the attitude........are you saying that your dog is scared of cat poop?

Anyway, until you remove their scent from your garden, they will keep returning.

No she will eat it, not sure why, just a puppy I guess. I now have to scan my garden for cat **** each morning before I go an let her out, not really acceptable.

This really shouldn't be an issue, surely cat owners can train their moggies to do their job in the cat litter thing.

I don't know maybe my puppy will grow out of it, but it's not nice to have to deal with this situation. Problem is I think we have an old dear a few doors away who has about 10/15 cats.
