How do you stop cats crapping in your garden?

No she will eat it, not sure why, just a puppy I guess. I now have to scan my garden for cat **** each morning before I go an let her out, not really acceptable.

This really shouldn't be an issue, surely cat owners can train their moggies to do their job in the cat litter thing.

I don't know maybe my puppy will grow out of it, but it's not nice to have to deal with this situation.

Try dousing the perimeter of your garden with lemon juice and/or cayenne pepper, also cleaning the areas you find the poop with a cleaning solution to remove their scent markings.

Cats will return to the same place to poop and they will mark it territorially...you need to break that territorial bond the neighbours cat has with your Garden.

Even if the Cat is litter trained it will still do its business outside...you could try a litter tray in a part of your garden, or turning some soil in one part, hopefully the cat will begin to use those areas only and it will be easier to wean the cat away....

General knowledge really that cat owners don't give two ****s about where their pets disappear to to do their business (house cats the exception).

You'll just need to learn to put up with it and monitor the puppy -- though if it's a real annoyance then the sonic devices available might be a possibility.

i dont have a garden i have a big balcony, one of mine craps in my flat mates veg pots he grows outside ( :D ), the other craps in the back garden of the house next door.
hes not been shot yet like some in this thread would have liked :(

poo from a big car such as a tiger.

you can buy it online, regular cats can tell its from a much bigget cat and will avoid the area

Try the hose a few times when you see it, just make sure the neighbour doesn't catch you ;)

Also someone told me Cats hate the smell of Lavender.

get real mad and set up a motion sensor with a built in car alarm.

If anyone complains about the noise send em to the cat owner.

Electric fencing/netting works well in my experience, also stops your own animals escaping. The inconsiderateness of cat owners is frustrating I know.

Let the dog eat the cat it's how nature works.

But wait! cat owners will say that's wrong. But it's always a laugh and a joke when they bring in frogs and birds and state that's how nature works.

yep, the neighbours moggies have crapped in my garden again.

Having a similar problem.

Reeeaaaalllllyyyy annoying me now and I hope I don't catch it because I won't be as humane as the OP wants to be. Going to try Cayene Pepper like someone suggested as thats one of the few things I haven't.

What will the pepper do?

Its simple, you do the same thing you do to stop birds pooing on your car, you admit its just the way the world is and move on with your life.

+1

These sorts of threads do make me laugh. Carpets are dirt traps of bugs feeding on dead skin, anybody who flushes with the seat up is dosing their toothbrush in faecal matter and the entire garden ecology system is full of things weeing and pooing everywhere that you don't even know about.

OP your only real solution is to catch it in the act and scare the **** out of it. I don't mean harm it, like some of the alpha ***** and keyboard warriors who link to rifle pages cause they is oh so hard, lawls. Loud noises should suffice.

Really? Mine come back inside to have a poo, I never see cat poo around me.

Having a lot more than one litter tray helps, as some cats like one to wee in and one to poo in or may not use one if another cat has been there.

Something like a supersoaker or automatic hosepipe sounds OK
Have a word with whoever is leaving their cats out at night, they should be indoors.
