How do you Think of a Gamer Name?

I have 3
Savagepoop - signing up to naps ted all those years ago I needed a name. I had a savage garden cd and my mate hates them so he said savagepoop and it stuck for about 11 years
H3RBSKI - last name is Herbert but everybody calls me herb so just added a ski...
Skinkx - just saw it on some tattoo flash years ago and though it was spelt cool lol
 
i called my self jankster because when i first got a gaming pc many years ago i was clue less and jank at setting the thing up ...so jank turnt to jankster and that name stuck..by the way im still clueless and jank
 
Started with SWG. My favourite Resident Evil character was Wesker, so i changed my name to Wescar as i thought it looked better, and Strider came from Aragorn in LotR.

Wescar Strider, although i don't use the last name anymore unless a game requires it.
 
First time playing unreal tournament all the years ago...

Wondering what to call myself, looked around desk, saw a marker pen.

Rest is history as they say :)
 
Unless it's a normal sounding 'name' then it will always sound lame to those outside gaming. I always feel stupid introducing myself to people from forums as my forum name lol. Scougar it relatively unique that I dont' have to worry about other people picking it, and if they do.. no worries I have variants.

Just pick a name... mine has no real reason behind it.
 
Most games im DampCat.
DampCat was an amusing piece of censorship in an old old copy of PCGamer where somebody had written in a letter accusing someone else of being a wet pussy, then the editor had removed it and replaced with with (damp cat - ed.). It was hilarious when i was 14.

For Fantasy/RPG games i use Krhl, which was originally Korhol, which was a mistyped version of Korhal, a planet in Starcraft. Krhl just came from an IRC joke one day where the chanop banned Vowels, and i vowed to never use them again.

I think for most people names start as something stupid when you're 15 and kind of evolve. or dont, in my case.

Dude i have only just come to the realisation that i hate you because you destroy me in CSS. I hadnt made that connection previously.
 
I have had freshage since I started PC gaming (agnes on this forum simply because freshage has a word which is 4 letters long and starts at the s in the name... Not allowed...).

Anyway, I thought of it when I started playing Lineage! I was trying to think of a name, I smelt my pit and said out loud "ahhh, fresh", then it came to me, linage, fresh... freshage haha.

Stuck ever since, mostly guild members, clan members and the likes previously just called me fresh.
