Hi all

At the moment have PC as per sig, but after lapping both quad & TT, I am now thinking of squeezing it up to 3.6 :cool:

But I would like to check a couple of things with the knowledge of the forum;

1. What is the max volts for quad ?
2. What is max load temp for quad using P95 small ffts?

Thank you for your assistance in this matter :D

Max load temp - you really dont want to be going higher than 70 degrees really, low 60s preferable.

With regards to the max voltage, i would have thought that as long as your TT can hack it, 1.5 - 1.55 should be ok.

Ok I have OC'd to 3.6 idle temps of 45, load temps of 76 (after 2 1/2 hrs of P95 small fft).....would you consider this to be safe..oops at 1.4v in bios

try to not go over 73 well my temperatures increased by 2 c as its summer time if u want to get 3.8 or 4ghz get a decent water kit

I was thinking of adding a second fan to TT, but unsure what type and how to connect. I know it will need something like cable ties to the TT but where should I connect it for power and speed

It was about 25 in my room yesterday, idle temps this morning are down to 40 so ambient temps make a big difference :eek:!!! quite surprising really, I might clocked it back to 3.4 when summer really gets going to assit temps :(

My bro just got a sclacr q6600 in a good case on high end air & gets 3.7, under load 72c.
My B3 for a year has been doing 3.55 on water, under load 98c.

Yer 98c, its fine & runs 24/7, 60c idle & plays games for hours without a hitch.
My case is a very old GlobalWin 802 & keeps my feet warm too :D
Intel spec on these chips is 100c, people are still old school when it comes to temps.

Yeah, 70 is fine as there are very few (in my experience, no) games that max out the CPU to make it work at 100% load.

The hottest mine seems to get to is about 55 and that is in Crysis, AoE3 stresses quite well but still not hot enough to worry about.
