Intel say their Q6600 are able run at 100c for 10 years constant.
My B3 has been merilly cooking for a year idling at 60c & up to 98c under all core load (prime/occt stable for hours).
I think people need to re-think what their chips can do & not worry about temps so long as its not crashing & <100c.
I've noticed my brothers G0 Q6600 has a lower death temp though, I guess all chips are different.
I used to run a Barton 1.8 at 2.3 (which is a lot for a Barton) & its death temp was a 50c & its still running at 2.3 five years later.
After all, people who buy high end kit usually upgrade more often anyway eg. once a year.
