How far do you commute to work?

2.5 miles - roughly a 5 minute journey.

Used to be a 28 mile journey each way and take around 40 minutes which was a bit of a killer. Wouldn't like to travel any further than that TBH.

16.5 miles which takes about 35-40 minutes. That's pretty good for around here...

I've decided to go for it, I've looked at google a bit more and I can get the route down to about 33 miles so about 66 round trip.

Don't know how good or bad that route will be etc.

If you aren't sure of the route, why not try it during rush hour? I've done that before now.

At the moment, 3.5 miles each way.
Once work relocates next year , ~23 miles each way for about 6 months or so, then I'll move closer so it's under 10 miles each way! (cycleable distance!)

the mileage it put on the car were annoying enough.

But 'cars are for driving' ;)

In your words :p

My commute takes me 30 minutes there and around 45 back as traffic is normally a bit more built up on the way home.

I'd argue the 45 mile trip you used to do is better for the car than the 1 mile trip you now do around town stopping and starting constantly, does it even get time to warm up :p.

I used to do the same mileage as you. I also find town driving a hell of a lot more stressfull than a simple Dual Carriageway / A road blast.

I'm doing 60 miles each way at the moment, takes up to 2 hours each way though :(

So thats what...600 commute per week. Not actually as bad as usual :p

I do a massive 2.3 miles each way but double that most of the time by coming home for lunch.

Currently looking for a new job and trying to stick within a 30 to 45 minute commute if I can.
