How far do you commute to work?

about 3 miles.

Takes upto 20mins to drive or about 45min walk (have to cross a bad roundabout on a busy dual carriageway)

40 miles round trip, dual carriageway most of the way. Luckily I live in the city and work out of it, so rush hour doesn't tend to be much of a prob.

Just had a look and the cross country route is shorter and I imagine more fun.. now it gets more tempting..

I did 45 miles each way every day for a bit. If it wasn't for the fact the employer paid for the fuel it would have driven me insane. The time aspect and the mileage it put on the car were annoying enough.

Was the job worth the commute?

There was a time last year, when due to girlfriend/dumping/moving out/nowhere to live that I could afford situations, I was commuting all over the place, and driving over 1000 miles a week. I managed that for 14 weeks, and it nearly killed me.

I appreciate my ~30 minute B road, then A road jaunt across to MK all the more now, it seems like nothing!

:)

My employer pays for all my mileage, even when going into the office, else I wouldn't bother getting out of bed :D

35 miles each way and takes about 40mins.

90% dual carriageway so its easy enough on the car, fuel and stress level but I miss 5 minute cycle and an extra 2 hours in bed of my previous job!

6 miles each way. Cycle in, weather dependant, but it can take anywhere from 10 mins to 30 mins depending on what time i leave and the traffic. As its the school hols it takes an average of 15 mins.
