How fast does your PC boot up?

From hitting start .. cold to login 41 secs/after post to login 16 secs/finish loading everything from start between 44 to 47secs out of 3 tests

Remember them days well i could run down stairs after getting up for work switch on PC put my tea in the microwave kettle on/back up stairs for a quick wash/shower then down again put tea on table and it would be almost ready to use:D sometimes i would have to restart the whole process while my Anti virus was updating or scanning:mad: and once or twice had to leave the house without a peek at my favourate forums, It was time to upgrade
Celeron 2.4/256mem with Nort security&Ant/virus it is still running fine in my daghters room new speck Asrock BD Intel pentium M 3.46 processor 2 gig mem and ATI 1950 graphics it was like new:)
 
About 40 seconds to the login screen, then once I'm in the desktop appears and then the thing freezes (although the mouse can move) and the HD thrashes for about 3 minutes then stops and I can use it fine.

I can't be bothered working out why as I'm doing a complete rebuild in a couple of months.
 
Just timed it :p 23 seconds from Windows starting to boot to hitting the desktop. Pretty satisfied with that - Vista x64, WD 640GB.
 
I've never timed mine but my AMD computers have always booted faster. I remember my A64 with MSI Neo3 (think it was) with the XP loading bar you didnt even see it before it booted into windows. Both my Intel computers take ages!
 
from cold this morning times are:

From pushing the button till login screen = 29seconds
From login screen till desktop fully loaded = 7 seconds

thats with x64 Vista and the spec in Sig bellow
 
i have to turn my WD mybook off else my pc sits on the boot screen for a minute. When the WD is turned off it's near instant going from "windows is loading " to the logon screen .. halp pl0x!
 
Just improved my boot up time from 99 seconds to 67 seconds. :)
