Sky 40mb FTTC, never missed a beat. Fantastic connection at all times and zero downtime. Tempted to upgrade to 80mb but don't quite download enough to justify it.
Rebooting it doesn't always seem to help, at one point my connection was messing up so badly that it was slower than dial-up for 55 minutes of every hour. Every time I managed to get through to Virgin on the phone they'd run their tests which would show things as fine because of the timing. Then they'd say call back in 20 minutes. Call back 20 minutes later, end up on hold, by the time they did the tests again the connection was fine again. Eventually managed to get someone to stay on the line and repeat the tests every 5 minutes, they finally saw the problem and arranged a technician to fix it (they also knocked 2 weeks off my next bill).
Anyway, not noticed the speed issue again since my last post, current result:
It costs me £ 15.74 a month and its unlimited, also no need for a landline subscription on top as it doesn't use a telephone line rather my ISPs own cabling.
I live in Jersey, Channel Isles so please don't message me how to get it.
I'm from London but using a VPN. Connection could do with being a bit faster but its so much better than my old dual ADSL connection. Connection is 80/40
