Has he been outed on CTRO yet? They won't like him for that over there (if he's a member).

I had similar with someone trying to overtake me the other day in my Leon. I was in the middle lane, and the other driver was in the inside lane. I was doing ~80MPH, and was preparing to slow down as I was gaining on traffic in front. The inside lane was closed 200 yards away, and at this point the other car tried to overtake. I had nowhere to go, and luckily they decided to give up whilst they were beside me. There are some real plums out there for sure.

I also promise I don't drive my CTR like the fool in the OP either. 30-40 in an NSL? Pfff :p
 
I for one speed up if anyone tries to over take me, you would have to be an idiot not to. Not for any misplaced sense of pride or anything, but pure logic.

Cars that are side by side are infinitely more dangerous than cars in front or behind. If someone phones me up and we are side by side and I use the one hand on my steering wheel to answer the phone, obviously the car is going to turn if it hits a bump, if there is something next to me, ill crash into it. I speed up using the pedals with my feet not my hands, so speeding up allows me complete control of my car whilst still able to drive safely. Ergo, if someone tries to over take me I will make the situation less dangerous by speeding up and not letting them past me. This had led to some idiots not getting the point and refusing to give up, completely counter acting my good driving and forcing prolonged side by side driving, often with oncoming traffic. Idiots.

Most of them over at CTRO used to (at least pretended) to be vehemently against street racing/driving like a wanger.

However, I suppose things change, and as prices fall to the arse-end of the market, as people have said before, tools will buy them. That said, you don't have to fall into the arse-end demographic to behave in a manner often erroneously stereotyped for said arse-end.

I used to be a member over at your forum, but there was a mod there who had more than his fair share of vaginitis one day, and for some reason took exception to my being there (probably giving the noob a work out, I don't know). My account no longer seems active/in existence, but I may well rejoin (I'm not a trouble maker, honest! :p).

I've logged in over at your forum, but can't find any posts by myself. We're talking a couple of years ago or so now, so maybe they were lost in the ether? I go by the same name over there. Anyway, it's no real issue. All water under the bridge, and probably just as likely to have been me taking offence to something minor. I don't really think it escalated - I just stopped posting after encountering a shirty mod.

Anyway, I'll have a nose around again, as it looks much nicer than CTRO. :)

Bloody norah, just found the CTRO thread. Some real clever chaps there. I feel embarassed to be in any way associated.
