How long have you been with your partner

We don't really know when we got together, but we know it was around this time 2 years ago. Seems like 5 minutes ago, the time has flown and I think theres still lots we have to learn about each other. I still look forward to seeing him when he gets home from work every day and I still get a jolt in my tummy when I wake up next to him :D I think that could be described as true love ;)

5 years and 10 months.

She's starting to act all odd though - like changing my bookmarks to ring shops and the ever so subtle...

"Oh...isn't that a lovely WEDDING DRESS??!!?!"

I think she's dropping hints...

i do that all the time, but Phil just knows I'm obsessed with weddings, pretty dresses and jewellery. He ignores me ;)

Er, a week?

Broke up with the last one (nearly 2 years) about a month ago. I didn't mean to move so fast, there was no cheating going on, just kinda happened...

...and to whoever mentioned the 18-month itch - I hope to God that it won't happen every time, that's 2 relationships running now...

Me too. I wonder when I ever do start hinting he'll ignore that too and pretend to be oblivious.

He might even think I'm hinting and ignore it on purpose ;) But I am obsessed with weddings.

I really dislike the word "partner". :/

Been with Roz well over a year now and despite me being away so much it's all good. Then again even when we spend weeks together at a time it's all good. So all in all, it's all good! ;)

There's only one word worse than "partner", that being "significant other".

I mean why? You too embarrassed to say BF or GF or wife?

Met MrsD on March 13th 1999. She was over here on a study abroad scheme from Boston College, and I sort of bumped into her in my local pub. A couple of months later we were engaged, but she then had to fly back home to finish her degree. Cue a long distance relationship which then saw us married in the US on September 29th 2001. We've been in London since then and are planning on moving to the US next year for good.

She turned my life around and gave me direction and meaning when I had none, and she inspires me with every single minute that passes by. My hat is off to, in my most humble of opinions, the most caring and loving person I have ever met and I am honoured to be able to call her my Wife.

What makes it worse is she's turning 30 this month and she's gone to see her new Niece today...

I think that she's starting to hear things tick...

I like kids - I'm good with kids - I just don't want any of my own!

Although I'm not allowed to babysit anymore after a certain caffine, sugar and South Park dvd incident.. :D I found it funny - kids dad found it funny - mother didn't...

Being that odd age of being apparently being an adult but exisiting in an office with people much older than me, saying 'girlfriend' makes me sound about 14. On the flip side about a year back I was trying to sound posh when I ask one of those personal shopper types at Selfridges to find me a birthday pressie for 'my partner'. The reply: 'what sort of person is he'.

Been in and out of relationships since I was 16, currently 21 and my longest so far has been 2yrs and Im currently enjoying being single.

please tell us all that story.

Been with Desmo for about 16 months now - Did the long distance thing for 6 months and then moved to Essex to live with him :)

Still feel like I did when I first met him only the feelings keep getting stronger and stronger ... and we still haven't argued !!

I KNOW that I want to marry him and have children with him it's just a matter of time ... hopefully get married next year ( *HINT COUGH COUGH* ) and then start a family in about 2 years

Perhaps some people just don't want to personalise things on a public forum?
