How long have you been with your partner

I met Jhadur 11th September 1999, we started "going out" about 14-16 months later (there wasn't a real "proper" date), we will be celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary the 27th August (we weekend after the camping meet)

I love him to bits and it really annoys me when people tell me it'll all go wrong because of the age gap (I'm 23, he is 37)

My personal best for 'being' with my 'partner' is 3 1/2 hours, however I have been together with my fiancee now for coming up to 4 years ;)

Been with 8 I3ALL almost 14 months now. I'm 25, and he'll be 35 in a few months.

When we first got together, baby Tiggy had only just turned 1. I think everyone felt that the age gap might be for the best as I had a small child. I on the other hand didnt and still dont think much about the age gap- I chose him for him and not for the fact that at his age he might not be worried about getting involved with a single parent.

We've had our ups and downs. And there arenpossibilities that might see us not having to do long distance- lets just see what the future holds :)

Is he the one? I think so :)

ignore them. You know if it works for you, and things can go wrong for any number of reasons. If it does all go wrong, you'll have plenty of time to deal with it when it happens so don't let people get to you. No-one knows what the future holds, just grab happiness with both hands and hold on to it for as long as you can :)

(though i'm sure you don't need me to tell you that :D)

Just over 4 months I think.

Edit. Just over 7 months now. Went food shopping together last week.

40 years this summer. I can remember the year, because it was the year we won the world cup. :)

I was 16 when me and my missus started dating and I'm now 48 - so thats 32 years
Impressive.

As for me I've been with the missus 6 years now (i think).

And I also hate the term 'partner', gives the impression I'm about to introduce some other guy. :p

That's why I also refer to the other half as the missus as we aren't actually married yet but girlfriend doesn't seem enough (as we have lived together for years and have a daughter), can't stand the term finane (a word only girls should use).

Although things are about to change, I can't dodge the bullet any longer and I've finally given in, a date for the wedding has been set, so as of May 25th 2007 I'll be beinging my life sentence. ;)

Cue theme tune to 'Our Tune'......

We first met outside Wembley Park Station one Sunday morning in November 1978, as we both belonged to the same youth club. A group of us used to go canoeing on the Thames every Sunday morning and we all used to share cars. By lunch time we had really got to know each other when disaster struck...........whilst splashing each other with our paddles, his slipped out of the water a little too quickly and I got hit across the nose, breaking it and causing one hell of a nose bleed.

I saw him again the following Thursday, by which time I had developed a fantastic black eye, so much so, that he didn't recognise me at first. Things just progressed from there.

We have now known each other for nearly 28 years and been married for nearly 22 of them. We have grown up together, run a business together, suffered some really bad times together, had 4 children together and stayed together.

So for those of you who meet someone while you're still young, don't let anyone tell you that it won't last, as you never know, they may be the one.

Cue song..............
