How long have you gone without changing your Jeans?

Try to only wear the same clothes once a day & then they get thrown in the wash. But I sweat like crazy so it has to be done & to be fair I don't care :P

So if you where out one day, and it was blooming hot your legs got all hot and sweaty you could feel the sweat dripping down your leg, and ultimately the jeans soak up the sweat...Then you wore them for another week, etc, random activity etc...You wouldn't wash them?

Just curious.

no, i wouldn't. i hate washed jeans - they're like cardboard! i'd do what a couple of the other people here have mentioned. get them aired out and the they're as good as new!

I don’t wash my jeans that often, I have quite a few pairs so I just rotate between them all. I don’t smell, I can control my bodily functions, I’m not a sweaty beast and I don’t spill stuff on them. My gf always comments on how nice I always smell.

Washing jeans too often just makes them go weird and loose their colour. All my pairs fit and sit perfectly, if I was to start washing them every few days they would loose the shape and fit. All my other stuff gets washed/daily and regularly but jeans are another matter.

Reading some of the posts of the guys that wash them every couple of days just brings images of horribly faded cardboard feeling jeans that don’t fit properly.

**edit** and ironing jeans, EUUUGRHHH, what are you thinking?

I bought a pair a few months ago which haven't been washed yet. I found out the hard way, I had a pair of nice indigo jeans which were quite expensive for me(£80 when I was 15), anyway for some reason I put them in the wash and they lost so much colour :(

I was once told in a shop that you shouldn't freeze certain jeans as they lose their shape.
Your meant to febreeze them n freeze them, or the other way around. Either way I thought theres no chance Im sticking jeans in the freezer :/

Oh and another thing, do you wash your jeans after a night out? Say you were going out 2/3 times a week would you be washing them every week or more than that?

I can believe some of you dont wash your jears for years, or in some cases ever. I'm sorry but no matter how careful you are with them, they connot be clean.

Why would you not wash your jeans ever, but wash T-shirts etc reguarly? Or don't you?

Sounds like old fashioned thinking to me in the days of the mangle.

Q F T :D

I have APC NS too, almost 2 years now only washed twice

Excuse my ignorance but Q F T?

Again, it's down to the denim. Pre washed jeans can be washed as much as you like without much noticing much difference to the indigo. Raw jeans on the other hand are completely different.

They are like cardboard when you put them in and the jean takes time to naturally shape to your body. The marks, faded areas, stretched parts are all personal and down to what you do in them when you wear them. They are pretty much customised to YOU. I, personally prefer this as they become part of you and beats any pair you pick up from high street stores.

I used to bath in my jeans as soon as i got them so they shrunk to my size. They normally shrink by 2" after the first wash. I don't even bother with this anymore though.

You can still clean your jeans without washing them though. Febreeze, freezing, airing, light scrubbing etc etc etc...

Ask any rep from Levi's, Lee's, Samurai's, A.P.C's, Evisu's Christian Dior even, and they will tell you the same as what's been said about caring for your jeans.

Blah.. maybe i'm obsessed.

If you don't wear jeans, what do you wear to relax?

What do you wear on your legs when you're wearing trainers?

5 days, wear them at work for the 5 days, change at the weekend while they wash, then wear them again for 5 days while at work again, sometimes have to change midweek if ive been doing something grubby at work - but 75% of the time im just sat in the office at my PC

Yeah i read them. I don't want the salt near my jeans though for some reason..

Yes, the superdenim forums are awesome. You think i know about jeans?.... i have no idea compared to some of the people on that forum, they definitely know their stuff!!

Why would you wear jeans to relax? They're so uncomfortable, especially when they've been washed recently, hence why many people decide not to wash them so often I guess.
