How long have you gone without changing your Jeans?

After 3 days they become unwholesome.

Some of you people should be in a zoo or kept away from other people who have to smell you.

I don't know if you regularly soil yourself or what, but wearing jeans every three or four days, they don't get smelly. I change my pants and socks every day, I will VERY rarely wear a t-shirt twice before washing it, but jeans are not MEANT to be washed often.

Seriously. You're officially doing it wrong, ask the people that make jeans.

If i wear them they go right into the wash the same day, same with everything. If its on me for a few hours its right into the wash. I hate dirty or worn stuff.

What the hell is "meant" supposed to mean? Sauce for that one, please. Because my jeans - and I've got a lot of pairs from several different manufacturers - do nowhere state that I should limit the number or frequency of washes because they are bad for the fabric (which I assume is the gist of your reasoning, as opposed to laziness or lack of cleanliness).

Now, if you don't regularly wash your jeans because they don't "get smelly" then you're either forgetting about or ignoring all the many, fun, and potentially harmful/unwanted things which you can't smell but which will get onto your jeans anyway.

I find it disgusting, tbh.

Haven't bathed in 30 years or washed my underpants in that time either. I wonder why people die when they come within 50 yards?

I have enough pairs to not have to wear the same pair twice in a row. I don't wash them unless they get muddy/something spilled on them (and even then, it's daubed off with cold water). keeping them aired keeps them smelling fresh.

Plus, if its hot enough to cause a dose of the Bettys, I'll be wearing long shorts to air my harbl anyway.

I have jeans nearly 10 years old that are unwashed.

Jesus Christ now that just sounds dam right skanky, yes washing denim regularly does end up killing the shape/stiffness but I’d rather wash them and replace them more regularly than wear clothes that haven’t been washed for the last 10 years..1 year..heck 1 month/week. Eeww. :/

First time i have heard about not washing jeans.

Think i'll give it a go though, just bought 4 pairs of Levi 503's i Want these to last as long as possible so i'll try this.

Just airing them out, shall i just hang them out to "Dry" in sense when airing?

Usually only wear my jeans a week to 2 weeks max and that's usually because they smell and get a little damp, maybe airing will solve this.

From http://www.ehow.com/how_2030296_care-denim-jeans.html :

Step3
Wear these jeans until they feel comfortable and take the shape of your legs. This can take quite some time, possibly even a year until they fit just right.
Step4
For the rest of the time that you own this pair, avoid washing them at all costs. Denim shrinks and loses its sturdy quality very quickly through washing.

From http://www.nudiejeans.com/thisisnudie/takecare.php

Dry, dark unwashed denim, is the strongest and most durable alternative, and will also give the most personal result. Use your dry jeans as much as possible before the first wash. Six months is a good start.

First and third links from google when searching for 'Jeans care'.

There are many designers and fashion types who specifically recommend washing your jeans as little as possible. If you really want I can search the net for the quotes.

I usually keep a couple of jeans 'on the go'.

I have my lounging around / working on the car, etc jeans. And my going out nice ones.

When I go out, I'll be wearing clean freshly washed pair. Then the next day they will be my lounging aroud pair and the older lounging ones go in the wash.

Saying that I only really wear jeans at the weekends. Wear trousers to work.

Yeah Versace jeans are skin tight by design, after a few washes you can't get them on anymore, It was in the papers a few years ago where a girls mother got a refund because of this.

I don't really buy expensive jeans. Got some Levi's that cost £70-80, but they get washed just as much as the £30 ones from Topman. Jeans are easily replaceable, nice fitting tops on the other hand are not.
