try having £2500pounds in the bank....thats harder than saving..Need Gears of war too come out as soon as possible...stop me wanting too buy a pc..LOL hopefully i can w8t till quad core and dx10.....but time will tell..Mite just buy the 24" dell and look at it then buy thepc l8t or earlie nxt yr...but we will see. Hahah

Very nice result. Im still tempted to get QX6700 when they are released so that I can get the most out of it with a phase unit without maxing out the fsb first. Having said that, It would be very scary using a QX6700 with my first venture into the world of phase.

temps are pretty high though for when hes running 3.4-3.5Ghz? i mean 73-75c temps?
what sort of wattage is the quad core using on idle/load?

does anyone have any idea what the prices will be for the kenstfield CPUs? i know the extreme will be 700 quid ~ish will the core2 quad be comparable to the current conroe series? I will be getting one of these when they are released, hopefully with my new version of vista!
