Has anyone had to get a replacement bank card lately ?

As am just wondering how long they take to come these days

I ordered one first thing Monday morning (9th December) and have still not received it yet.

Real pain as am off work this week and also need to do all my Christmas shopping and wanted to get tyres & battery for the car but have no bank card so can’t do anything :(

Does the new card not show up in your banking app so you can add it to Apple/ Google Pay?

Yes the new card shows up in my online banking app

But i have never used apple pay so have no idea what places accept it.
Also a bit nervous of trying to use apple pay for very first time with having no card to back it up if something went wrong

Couple of days, I've just literally had to request a new one - you can of course use your new card via the app and can add it to your Google wallet, for example, before your card even arrives.

Everywhere accepts it these days. Can’t recall the last time I found somewhere that didn’t. I completely get the nervousness as I’ve only just started using Apple Pay recently. Once you get used to it you don’t think twice about it. Worth trying while you wait for the card to turn up

If you have a trusted friend or family member... Simply log into your account online and bank transfer them some money. Then get them to pay for the thing or withdraw the cash from their account to give to you.
