They look ok but plates have never been something that 'bother' me like they do a lot of people.

It's just something that has to be on the car so I'll leave them as they are supposed to be, not fussed.

Anyway, the answer to the original question is - possibly less than a day! Was told when I drove into work this morning that a cop was writing down my numberplate yesterday.

For the record my dad's hotrod has had an American plate on the back and no plate on the front for 7 years and he's never been stopped. I guess in London they don't care

One of the girls who works for a hairdressers near where I work, she just came out and told me there was a cop writing down my plate (my car is parked somewhere which is accessible to the public).

Well, over one month on and I haven't even been pulled much less fined and there have been a few opportunities where they could definitely get behind me if they wanted to. I guess either they're not sure themselves if it's legal or not at first glance, or they don't care *shrug*

Drove into work this morning and there were 2 female special constables parked next to me, they didn't say or do anything
