 Dissertation

It's just hit me i actually have until March the 4th to get it done and i really am quite far behind...my own fault and i am confident i can do it but still...argh. :(

What degree is that? In my course, BA. Law & Politics (Hons) we don't do a dissertation until fourth year...Woohoo!

Ah its easy peasy. I've done two. Masters one was far harder, put my BA one to shame. But still, do panic because panic means you force yourself to work hard and that means good results (hopefully!)

I'm doing alright in mine so far. It's 11,000 and in on the 22nd March.

My to do list starts with refining my literature review, collating my survey findings and then writing up and concluding my findings. I'm probably at around 7,000k at the moment. :)

Got a group project due in end of april but my group is bad dont listen to ideas and determined to do something they've never done so im just hoping i can pull my own weight and secure a pass on it.

4th march. Its only 1st feb. Start worrying when it gets to 1st March like the majority of people i know did.

I left mine until the last 2 weeks and all was good (i did have my research and some sort of plan by then though)

Seriously though OP, just get your head down and do it now, it'll be a lot easier doing it now with less pressure and you can stop and think and take breaks still as necessary. Once its out of the way, party to your hearts content again.

Don't leave it till the last minute, when you're a nervous wreck about it, you won't get your best down on paper in that state.

Either that or go and get smashed now, then wake up at 4am and write a 1500 word literature review like i did. I couldnt sleep for some reason so got out a pen and started writing all my drunken thoughts down. I woke in the morning (11am) to find a sheet that wasnt really eligable but made complete sence and was actually really good. It got my 68%:D

This happened to me at about this time last year, from this point onward until the end of exams I had no life.

I did however nearly fail my 2nd year (I had another 1st year :D) hence why I needed to work so hard to achieve a 2:1 and got 67% in the end as well!

My third year one (last year) was in for the 3rd Feb and was 22,500 words long. (Chemical Engineering) My research project paper this year feels like it's ages away, due in in May! Just started writing it today.
