How many 3rd years and starting to panic...?

Ok so I'm getting close to hand-in time and I'm starting to get it all brought together.

Has anyone got any suggestions of an appropriate font?

Anyone else using LaTeX to write reports? I've just got into it and it's so much better than using Word.

Highly recommended to anyone who's sick of playing around with formatting.

6,000 words

Film and TV

Ye, ye, go on :p Have a pop! I was filming for a month non-stop though, 12 hours a day :D

Due in on the 29th March, done 500 words!

Aim is to spend 7 hours a day on it from now until hand in excluding Saturdays.

I'm using LaTeX. It's kind of a must for a mathematics dissertation, although it does look good without any maths in too. I like just being able to write without having to worry about layout until the end

I'll manage. :o

Just need 30 participants, done research 1/3 of the research...so... :p

I would highly recommend nailing it for the next two weeks, otherwise you're gonna be more stressed than you can ever imagine when deadline looms...

Give yourself a bit of contingency!

I'm in the final year of my PhD and am currently writing my thesis! I need to get a full draft to my supervisors in 18 days, aiming for 60,000words!!! - Probably should get off forums and get writing......

. . . ah, beat me to it! LaTeX is excellent for writing up reports, the standard font is great too. Makes my dissertation look professional, even if the content is rubbish :D

Exactly! And filled out with some nicely formatted equations and a well-organised bibliography and any marker will love it.

Do you use Lyx or write in raw TeX code?

Forget about the paperwork I have yet to do my implementation...and it's quite complicated as well....:( Hard times ahead lol.

Got all my research done though, background report has been written. BSc Comp Sci here btw.

Should I use LaTeX? I've been using MS Word all this time.

Yeah go for it. For an easy introduction try using Lyx.
