BTW while out in Canberra make sure you look out for and dont mess with the funnel web spider.
They have venom potent enough to take out a couple elephants =/ ( i think its can take down elephants, the moral of the story is it can kill a human)
They can also live underwater for about 3 days![]()

That's a remarkably stupid thing to do. Atrax roustus are extremely aggressive and often bite with little or no provocation. Darg said:I catch my spiders and put them in an old CD spindle holder. I'm hoping to see a fight between them someday but they all just die after a couple of months. They don't even eat eachother or some flies and mosquitos I managed to get in to them. Lazy buggers, it's like a spider graveyard in there atm.
