How many computers does 1 house need!!!

My main gaming system, a small form factor cube, two laptops and a 24/7 server. However the server's dead right now *sigh*

3 on the network, 2 in the loft (P60 and 486 DX2 50 :D ), one more being built tomorrow assuming the saturday delivery arrives, shiny new conroe :cool:

Edit: Oh and a laptop at Xmas probably
 
Currently only 4 in my apartment at the moment, 1 desktop, 1 server, 1 laptop and an old pc functioning as a NAS - and been ordering parts ofr a new pc, so then there will be 5 :D

cent1.6 - laptop for any purpose, normally when in studio

then my flatmates have a couple and various consoles that get connected to the net. not buying another pc for 3 years now (honest!)

so we're on about 10 between 3 of us :( :o
 
Well, here's my list with thier uses

Opty 165 watercooled @ 2.7 - No idea, just to play with!
Opt 146 @ 2.8 - SLI triplehead for gaming
P4 3.4 HT - Email and web browser + work
P4 2.66 - Media Centre (As Sky+ replacement) in lounge
XP-m @ 2.4 - spare games machine sitting idle
XP-m @ 2.4 - Selling to a mate next week
XP 2600 - Shuttle media centre for projector
Sony Vaio Laptop - going away with
Ipaq 4700 - satnav/audio in car etc etc

1 Upstaires, 1 Downstaires and one server, sometimes all 3 is on at once but most the time just 2 or even just the server.
 
Right now I've probably got I think 5 computers, 2 of which are laptops, 2 are PII era or before so realistically 1 good computer for the moment. I have got rid of a couple but I think the most working at any one time was 6.
 
3 Pc's here. My pc is on 24/7 and has been for the last several years expect for a few hours down time (cleaning/upgrading), sons Barton 3200 most hours god sends and my Daughters laptop is basically on for home work and such stuff :)

just got a dual xeon setup
amd XP1700 rig
AMD333MHz rig
AMDXP 3200+ rig
AMDXP 2600+ rig
Pentium 233 rig

The oppy is on most of the time, xeons I havent quite got setup yet. been at work all day and only just got my hands on them. trying to sell the XP1700 rig and the 333mhz rig.
pentium 233 is junk tbh.....
other 2 XP rigs arent mine.
 
Have 3 in my house. My gaming rig which is only off when I sleep so about 4-6 hours a day, the rest of the time i'm gaming on it usually. Only time it's off apart from that is when i'm at work on a weekend, and it's my last weekend at that aswell lol.

Other 2 are in bits as this Conroe rig I've just got.

Oh laptop aswell which doesn't see much use until I go to Uni.

identical , i used to sell the parts on when i upgraded but now i keep em god knows what i have got laying around now :(
