How many gamers purely use SSD's?

You can drag and drop steam games from a mechanical HD onto the SSD as and when you fancy playing a certain game... The steam folder is really good like that, also you can have the library across different drives too if space is an issue.
Recently I played Tomb Raider solid for months... Before that was Farcry3. My last addiction was Thief... Therefore I can get away without needing more that about 400Gb of SSD space :)

Been using just SSD for a year or two. Currently a single Samsung Pro 840 250gb. Got a NAS to keep install files and media on.

Not sure what youd raid 0 them though.

Pure SSD here. 512GB main and an older 128GB (which is completely empty currently). I do have a 1TB mech in there, but just for huge files - stuff from my camera, Fraps videos etc.

All my storage disks are in an HP micro server which is then backed up to an external 4TB and also to CrashPlan.

Couldn't go back to mechanical for anything now. I used to have Windows and my main programs on my 128GB and Documents etc. pointing to a mechanical drive, but moving to pure SSD really does improve performance even further.

i think for the price of ssd's now they have really hit a level where if you are spending a good amount of money on your pc it just makes sense to game off them too

I used to run with a single SSD, until I ran out of space and getting a new one weren't cheap (few years ago when the prices were a bit high)

Running with a 750GB hybrid hard drive for my main rig, not quite speedy but I get a nice balance of storage and speed.

I have a 1 gb mechanical for storage of photos, then 3 Solid State drives for my games and OS. 120, 256 and 512 gb. I just add another when I fill one.

I game off of a SSD as well. Have a mx100 512gb in this rig atm, the £/gb of ssd's is really coming down aswell as larger size drives being more widely available makes more sense to just run everything off ssd.

I have a 120Gb SSD for my OS and a 256Gb for my Origin games and will be getting ( when money allows) a second 256 SSD for my Steam

I also have a 1TB HDD for all my other stuff ...films , photos and alike .

I`ve got a few (Skyrim, Borderlands 2, Fallout New Vegas) games installed on my 250gb Samsung Evo. I wouldn't make them live anywhere else.
