Can be a poll if possible (0%-25%, 25%-50%, 50%-75%, 75%-100%)

How many games do you roughly finish from what you buy. Finish can be a bit loose with some games nowadays so totally up to you on what it means (campaign, final boss, all paths etc)

think I'm in the 0-25% range for the last year

A lot less than I start. I'm really good at getting to 90% then losing interest. Happens with TV shows too. I get pretty much all the way to the end then stop before the finale

It's my toxic trait

Tough question. If I don't bounce immediately off a game I'll typically finish it - but 'finish' can have different contexts - I finished God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn and Spider-Man but didn't play any of their DLC 'cause I found them all to drag towards the end.

Elden Ring was unusual for me as I stuck with it for 65+ hours but got bored with it before I reached the end.

Typically though, if I get past the first few hours I'll finish a game (to some degree).

25-50% of my single player games. I say that not because games are bad, but simply because these days they are often too long and I either lose interest or something new comes out so I start playing that instead and the cycle continues. Most of my game time is taken up with multiplayer games.

For example I was about half way through Horizon zero dawn and AC Valhalla - was loving both games but not actually fired them up in over 18 months and they are sat on my SSD taking up space.

In terms of campaigns I've completed in the last 2 years - Cyberpunk, God of War, Witcher 3 (third play through), Mass Effect remastered (second playthrough), Battlefield Bad Company 2 (second playthrough), COD campaigns, GTA V, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Diablo IV, and Last of us.

I think around 10 hours is a good game length, unless its something really special like Witcher 3

@rumple9 - think I'm very much the same. Multiplayer games always suck me in. the last few single player games I completed.

Spider-Man
Deathloop
AC: Valhalla
AC: Odyssey
Mass Effect Remastered trilogy
The Outer Worlds

I can't think of any other single player games I've actually completed in recent years.

God of War is sitting at about 90% just waiting to finish. I'm half tempted to start CP2077 again. Last time I tried it I uninstalled it after someone T-Posed down a handrail.

I only play SP games and I’m guessing I probably get to the main story end of >80% of the games I get more than 2-3 hours into without binning.

Didn‘t Finish List off the top of my head not looking at my Steam Library:

Senua’s Sacrifice : Just didn’t get into it.

Hardspace Shipbreaker and Mech Mechanic Simulator : Couldn’t see the point in playing on once I’d unlocked all the tools and worked on all the mech and ship types.

WH40K Chaos Gate Deamonhunters : I really thought I’d love this being a WH40K flavoured XCOM2 at heart, but it quickly became a grind with barely any variation in mission type.

I think my issue is having way too many games installed at one time, steam is currently around 40 installed. It's like opening netflix trying to decide which to play

I think the better question would be "how many games do you actually start?" And when I say start, I mean go in with the intent to actually play the game not just give it a quick look see.

Because the games I actually start, I usually finish. The big problem is getting started. Somebody else mentioned Netflix, it's exactly like that for me. So many choices. I end up flicking between a few games before going back to play borderlands for the millionth time!! Not always Borderlands, but you know what I mean, I go back to playing an older game that I have played to death already just to avoid starting a new game.

I prefer sandbox games and play for as long as I'm having fun. I'm pretty bad at finishing story games, for example bought PS4 pro to play RDR2 when it came out. I finished most of side missions and content but never moved the camp to next location. Think last I checked I was about 80% overall game completion and only ~30% story progress.

I barely ever 'finish' games - Partly because the games I enjoy are the type that you never really finish, either because they're mostly multiplayer (battlefield/HLL), or open sandbox such as Kerbal (300+h) or ARK (1400 and counting)

That said, I'm definitely in the 0-25% crowd...... I probably don't even play 25% of the games I buy, ever - keep picking up bundles because there's 1-2 games I will/intend to eventually play but the other 8-10 never get touched!

I finish most unless I hit a blocker or just gets boring.
Spider Man: got boring.
Watchdogs Legion: mission with memory game = **** off, not played it since, shame as it was good until that.
