How many hours a day is your TV on

Main telly ~2.25hrs (5:45-6:30, 17:00-18:30)
Bedroom telly ~2.5hrs (18:30-21:00)

Times are when they are normally on. I'd say that with the main telly I'm probably only watching it about half the time it's on.

Unless I'm working from home, then the main telly is on in the background, (although quite often muted), from 07:30 for ~12hours ... probably mostly on BBC News 24.

On the weekend the main telly is on for longer but how much depends on what I'm doing, for example this Saturday I'm rebuilding my server so it'll be on all day in the background while I'm doing that in front of it.

On from about 6am till 10pm ish at a guess - 16 hours.

Young kids wasting my electricity :( The TV gets left on even if they're not actually watching it which irritates the hell out of me. It gets turned off when when she walks too and from school so take an hour off I guess.

2 maybe?

However i use my PC for watching stuff (ie. 4od, Iplayer, Five on Demand) because i've got a nicer screen than the tv

I have my PC, Xbox and Sky running through it so for me it's quite a lot. I usually watch a film at night, usually play Xbox a bit and then come onto the internet to check things. (Bank, mail, cv-lirary, GD)

So I'd say...... too much. It was a lot less before the doctors banned me off my bike though. I just rode about all day and did the rest in the space of 2-3 hours.
