How many hours a week do you work?

As few as possible, I prefer my leisure time

*edit*

And yes I do work (Self employed & part-time employed) and don't claim unemployment benefits before the howls of gerrajob come in :P

EWTD dictates that I can only work 48 hours a week. This is averaged over a month. I worked 85 hours last week, go me! I wouldn't mind working more, but they're legally not allowed to pay us for more than 48 hours.

On average I suppose I work 8-6 5 days a week, but will have an on call shift of 13 hours or a weekend thrown in.

5 days a week (but occaisionally do some work from home at the weekends - I try to avoid it if possible). Unfortunately as I'm regionally based I have to travel a fair bit, so including travel time it's close to 50-60hrs a week. I'm generally out of the house by 7-730, and back around 1730-1830 on average.

I think I'm supposed to do 36 hours per week not counting travelling or anything like that but I'll normally end up working a bit more than that depending on where I'm placed and what is going on in the business. I am currently on flexitime though so I should be able to take the time off during a less busy period.

Wow! I thought I did a lot of hours but some of you are doing some mad hours.

I do 60hrs a week. Couple of years back I was doing just over 80hrs evey week but had to stop as it just got stupid. I was on £6 per hour doing that but am on £7 per hour.
Should not complain too much I guess, as it is work. a lot of people can't get a job at all at the moment.

My old job was 41.5 hours a week
new job is 37 hours a week but two hours travel each day instead of 45 mins

As little as possible (say 36) unless I want a flexi-day and then I work some extra hours by coming in early for coffee. Er, I mean check the Server Farm. :D
