1 english
2 basic french to get by in
3 useless German (i.e. i have no elks in my hovercraft.... where is the distillery my car has broken down)
4 tiny amounts of spanish
5 three words of nepalese 1= hello 2= great 3= syphilis

Technically 1, however I can understand a fair bit of Serbian and could hold small conversations in Hungarian, Polish, Ukranian and Czech. I made the effort to learn some for the guys at work last year and carried on a bit - they teach me.

Fluent in Irish and English. Good enough with Spanish.

I have an Irish mother and spent much of my childhood in Ireland so I am pretty clear on English, Irish and Irish Gaelic. My post was not meant to be taken with any level of seriousness, though I suspect that was somewhat ambitious of me knowing on which site I posted it. We can but live in hope...

Ceapaim go bhfuil mearbhall ort.

Irish is the first official language of the Republic and one of 23 offical languages in the EU.

Hiberno-English is the form of English as it is spoken in Ireland.

English, fluent.
Afrikaans, able to hold a decent conversation, bit rusty though, it's been ten years.
Spanish, a fair bit, could get by as a tourist easily and have a simple discussion - at the level of perhaps a nine to ten year old.

And a handful of languages where I can ask for the basics such as greetings, request beer, toilet, simple directions, etc - these include German, Dutch, Zulu, French and Italian.

1) English
2) Urdu
3) Punjabi

2) and 3) are the same.

I have

English, Scottish and a little northern Irish when I have to go there although it's difficult.
Those that say Scots don't have their own language has never been to the kingdom of fife

I also am fluent in French and middling in Dutch.

/phear my e-peen :p
