How many machines do you have-Spec? and what you use them for

In the household we have:

2 PCs, and an Acer Laptop.

PC one (mine), built for gaming, but also used for the normal day to day stuff. Plus a bit of programming.

CPU: AMD 955 BE @ 3.7GHz
Cooler: Tuniq Tower Extreme
Motherboard: Gigabyte 790XTA-UD4
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaw 4GB 2000MHz memory @1600MHz (AMD doesn't allow much higher)
Graphics: Asus 5850
Sound: Asus Xonar DX
PSU: Chieftec 750W Modular
HDDs: 1x WD Caviar Black 500GB (for Windows + applications), 1x Samsung 7200 500GB (for data)
Case: NZXT M59
Windows 7 64 bit

PC two (my brother's), built for gaming, also used for day to day stuff.

CPU: AMD oldish thing based on AM2 (3000+? dual core)
Cooler: Asus Triton 77 (probably - it's certainly a Triton, and ends in 7)
Motherboard: Asus M4N82 Deluxe
Memory: 4GB Corsair XM2 DDR2
Graphics: Powercolor 4890 PCS+
PSU: OCZ 600W
HDDs: Seagate 1.5TB hard drive
Case: Antec Skeleton
Windows Vista 32 bit

Acer laptop - my Dad's, bought for looking at photos, and teaching him how to actually use technology. (He does a lot of photography, and so has now got a DSLR, but needed something to view them on that doesn't take up much room - I.E. can be stored easily).

-4GB RAM
-Turion dual core 2.2GHz CPU
-500GB hard drive
-Vista with loads of processes... (mainly down to rubbish bundled programs)

Seems we are listing all our drivel too, so:

2007 Macbook
Toshiba Portégé M300 tablet
Two 2.8B P4 northwood shuttles
A Barton 2500+ in an old Abit NF7
Two Pentium 3 1GHz dual-processor machines
and a whole hoard of old laptops.

And I thought I was OTT lol.

main rig - i7, 6GB, 9800GX2
used for work, CAD modelling and simulation, photoshop work and some video stuff. Main gaming is done on here too.

Lan box/HTPC - PII B50, 4GB, 5770
mainly used for storing and watching media but there is a fair bit of gaming done on it too.

Sony Laptop - P8600, 4GB, 3470
not really used much, has some basic work programs on it for taking into Uni but normally sits in my draw. Plan to sell it soon.

At home ive got a Q6600 backup, two older Dell machines and a Toshiba laptop.

They're all owned by me, as for the rest of my family:
Q6600, 4GB, GTX275
Athlon X2 3.1GHz, 2GB, GTS250
Dell 19" 'portable' workstation - just a crippled desktop really.
Dell XPS 13"
2x Dell Studio 15
Toshiba Sattelite Pro

You can just imagine the electricity bill.

I must this is my fav thread and its great to see what everyone else uses and the uses for the machines too

Thanks for all the replies peeps

Last time I had more than 2 working computers, routers has just dipped below £100 so the masses could network their kit easier. Seti was new and trendy, people had 'rigs' instead of computers, folding had just been released and we were all going to cure cancer. Three months later the novelty wore off and the power bill came in.

I keep my old gear as a backup, and the previous backup kit is given away. I bought a TV card for the backup with the intention of playing Linux htpc with it, but it doesnt get used.

Edit: Just seen the guy above has used the word 'rig'. My joke fails :(
