With my Alfa 156 I am getting about 340 miles from a full tank :( which is costing me £55..

These are urban miles too - not much motorway driving involved.

(Anyone wanna buy my Alfa ?)

Better than my 307.

Currently gets about 320 from £55

2.0L Petrol.

For ~£40 of petrol i get the following mileage.

Tesco 99 RON - 180-200 miles
Shell Optimax - 200-230 miles
Texaco High Octane - 200 - 230 miles

£50 would get me about 180miles of mixed road "spirited" driving

90mph on the motorway sees me about 390miles to a tank 70 would see me to near 450 (6th gear is great :)

i get 250 miles from £44 on optimax @ £1 a litre

rarely do any town driving, but it would be worse than that if i did :)

I get about 450-460ish in my DTurbo.

All city driving and though I try and be quite economical, the temptation to press my right foot down that little bit more to get that " DTURBO SURGE OF POWAH!" (TM) is sometimes too much and I give in :D

I roughly get 400 miles out of £50 in a 1.8 Focus Zetec. And that is driving like an old granny. When I hammer it you could probably knock at least 100 miles off of that. My daily journey to work and back is 50 miles on the M8 in the rush hour with delays going over the Kingston bridge. Looking at some of the figures people are getting with diesel cars, I am tempted to switch to them.
