How many of you game with crossfire?

Hey,

Trying to make my mind up whether to go crossfire or just buy a 6950 and flash to 6970 ( Currently have a 5850, been offered another for £100).....

Do any of you have problems with crossfire, or any of you have 5850 in crossfire? Opinions would be much appreciated

I'm in the same boat as you with a 5850. I'm gonna put in another 5850 when The Witcher 2 arrives, seems like the right decision

I just sold ma 5850 and decided to go xfire 6850, second hand 6850's are about same price as 5850, so glad i did now.

Got an MSI 5850 to go with my powercolor 5850 and latest drivers caused hangs. Went back to 10.9 drivers and been smooth sailing ever since.

Very happy and a powerful setup for not much oney these days. Should see me thought BF3 too which is the mian reason i went for crossfire.

Up until about three weeks ago I used crossfire, was good. Recommend it. Had a 4870X2.

use a 4870X2 so don't really have much a choice!

seems fine for most games, some though don't seem to have any real benefits, though crysis seems to see improvements with multi-GPU enabled. depends on drivers to be honest though, sometimes they can be ropey to say the least!

Unless you're gaming at above 1920x1200 xfire'd 5850s will generally beat a 6950, even when flashed to unlock the extra pipes.

lol crossfired 5850's beat a 580 in most tests when corssfire is supported, it leaves a 6950 far behind.

After looking at the comparisons I'm sold, 5850 for me it is. Hopefully the right decision... if not then I guess I can always sell up with the 5850's

They aren't reference though, and despite the cooler apparently being amazing, a friend has one and its certianly no cooler than my stock sapphire branded ati one.

Honest truth? Only had it a week and it plays every game i have on the highest settings on my 720p hdtv, so i haven't bothered overclocking yet
