Mine is always off when I've finished using it, if I fall asleep watching a film I'll just turn it off when I wake up.
Someone at my work leaves his PS3 on when playing GT5. He talks about winning races easy in manager mode or something. I can't believe what I hear, so you don't even have to play the games these days to get achievements.
You can do it in Forza too, 'Employ a driver' or something like thatit's pretty ludicrous.
Turning it on/off infact worsens the RROD issue. As it's the expansion/contraction through heating/cooling that breaks the solder. Not that it really applies to Slims today.
If you left an 2005 Xbox 360 on from day 1 it'll probably working to this day, not counting possible failures in other components from wear. : )
I pay the electricity of course I turn it off![]()

When I get home from work this is the standard thing I am greeted with in the house:
Unecessary amount of lights turned on, computer left on with screen burning away, tv left on on some kids channel, wii left on with disc spinning away, PS3 on where someone has accidentally hit the PS button in the middle of the controller when throwing other stuff back in the drawer, amp left on, upstairs TV will be left on on pause coz she's "watching that" whilst making the dinner.
Turn it oOOOOFFFF. All offffff. I pay the damn bill.
