Following on from the "Any Bad Drivers Here" thread, i was interested to know how many points people here have and what they got them for.

Myself i have none - Touch wood.

Got a clean licence after 14 years driving, never had any points, pure luck tbh.


Once got caught at a ludicrous speed on a Yamaha R1 by the traffic cops but got let off because they couldnt get a reading on their equipment!

3 points for speeding and very, very lucky to keep my licence (gunned at 108 on a dual carridgeway and then they caught me up a few miles down the road to pull me over) . They will expire in november

Learnt my lesson very quickly afterwards!

Generally I don't speed though, not because I'm a goody two shoes just because I really don't want my premium to go up any more - it's high enough as it is

Zero points in 28 years of driving (touch wood) - I used to speed a bit in my younger days, but we didn't have cameras all over the place then.
