How many times can I reinstall windows xp?

I've always copied the wpa.dbl file and the wpa.bak file to the new install using safe mode. Not had any problems provided that the hardware and OS is the same as before.
 
Would you belive it, I am now using the reformated version and when it came to activate it passed first time lol.

Didnt need to do anything in the end, but thanks for the tips though, very interesting. :)

It wasn't a new product key, it was an activation code. Your product key is the same as it always was, the long number is equivalent to what would otherwise have been transmitted over the internet when you activate that way.
