How many songs are there in your mp3 collection?

Mines currently at 14,864, apparently it would take over 42 days to play them all none stop, some of these are full albums or sets in 1 track that are an hour long or more.

Been collecting my music for some years now.

what type of music does that collection include out of interest?

Mine's very small - only 841 Files, but 53.7 Hours worth. 5,131,786,216 bytes worth, ie about 4.8 gig.

got about 8K on my PC and and about 7.5K of that on my Ipod.

Been going for about 10 years now and has all different types of music from hard house, Trance to Hard Rock and Classical.

Scattered over several drives as server is dying, but assume 10 tracks per CD...

Pretty much anything, my fave is Punk rock so lots of that. Also drum n bass, hardcore, R n B, every kind of rock, dance and trance and some pop to name a few.

If there was a chart showing how much music I add per week, since the invention of torrents it would rocket

I do buy a load of music off iTunes though.

I have about 300 tracks. (A bit less actually).

I barely listen to music though, I find it distracting a lot of the time.

Well done to all those who have 15,000+ tracks, that is a rather good sized collection; I am especially pleased for anyone who has a large collection that is all named consistently, rated correctly, and has all the relevant meta data as I think this is a most venerable thing.
